The problem

The rows arrive. The messages do not.

Leads land in a sheet from a form, an ad, or an import, and then wait for a human to notice them and open WhatsApp.

Rows pile up unanswered

A campaign fills the sheet overnight. Nobody messages anyone until somebody opens the tab in the morning.

The manual loop is one row at a time, and it is where numbers get mistyped and rows get skipped.

Watch one specific column, and add conditions: equals, contains, at least, at most, or simply filled in. Everything else is left alone.

A “Waplify Sent” column is stamped once the flow actually starts. Rows that failed setup stay open and retry rather than being silently marked done.

Add a Webhook trigger to a flow

In Waplify, open your flow, set the Start block to Webhook, and copy the URL it gives you.
Paste it into Settings

Drop the URL and an API key into the sidebar, choose your tab and your phone column, and add any conditions.
Turn it on

Send a test to confirm the fields arrived, then leave it running. New and changed rows send on their own.

What it does, and where the limits are

1. Can I send WhatsApp messages from a Google Sheet?

Yes. Copy the Waplify template sheet, paste in your flow’s Webhook URL and an API key, and pick the column holding the phone number. From then on a new or changed row sends the message on its own, with the rest of the row available inside the flow.

2. What if the row is added by a form, an ad, or Zapier?

It still works. Programmatic writes do not fire a normal spreadsheet edit event, which is why the add-on also polls your sheet on a timer, by default once a minute. Rows written by Google Forms, lead ads, Zapier, Make or your own script are picked up the same way as rows you typed.

3. Is this a bulk WhatsApp sender?

No, and it is worth being precise. This sends per row, as rows arrive or change, and each run handles up to 50 of them. If what you want is one message to a whole list at once, that is a campaign: import the list under contact management and send a campaign instead.

4. Could it message the same person twice?

No. The add-on adds a “Waplify Sent” column and stamps a row only once the flow has actually started. If setup is incomplete the row is deliberately left unstamped so it retries later, rather than being marked done when nothing was sent.

5. Can I send only when a certain cell changes?

Yes. Point it at a single watch column so nothing else triggers it, and add conditions on top: equals, contains, at least, at most, or just filled in. A row that fails the conditions is skipped and stays eligible for later.

6. Can a flow read and update the sheet as well?

Yes, that is the other direction. Inside a conversation a flow can add a row, find a row, find every matching row, or update the one it just found, and branch on whether it succeeded, failed, or found nothing.

7. Do I need a developer?

No. The template sheet arrives with everything already in it, and setup is pasting two values into a sidebar. The only thing you choose is which column holds the phone number.

8. Which plan do I need?

Every Waplify plan includes it. Plans differ by billing period, not by feature, so neither the connector nor the webhook trigger is gated behind an upgrade.
